This may sound like a rant, so I’m apologizing up front. I’ve deleted all the dating apps and really don’t want to go back. But I’m bored. I don’t mind going out by myself and have no problem keeping myself occupied, but I’m missing that spark. A good old human connection. Someone to do stuff with while enjoying each other’s company. The problem is small talk and exchanging a few messages here and there just don’t do it for me. Neither does common dating etiquette like ghosting, infidelity, or non-monogamy that I see everywhere. Maybe I’m asking too much but hopefully I’m not alone.
So who am I looking for? Might not find someone with all these traits, but it never hurts to try—please be close to DC (I’m in VA), around 40 plus or minus a few years, preferably never married and no kids but wants both, emotionally available, intelligent/educated/professional, sarcastic/charming/witty, open to a dad bod (I know I’m not a supermodel), basically a mature goofball.
