Good day eh?

Bit of a long shot, thinking there'll be another nerdy redditor in my general vicinity, but why not, right?

My last post attracted a few people, scam artists (can you really call them "artists" if they suck at their chosen profession?), spooky ghosts, and more than a couple folks from different parts of the world. I like travelling, but I can imagine the commute to the US and various parts of the UK and Europe would get a little pricey after a while...and there's only so many hours in the weekend.

Anyway, enough rambling. I do that. I'm pretty good at it. Rambling, oversharing, definitely in my wheelhouse!

So, I'm a simple man with simple tastes. I'd like to meet someone who's into exploring Victoria with me. As a recent transplant here, I have yet to see all there is to see, and it's far more fun and interesting with company. A ride on a Hot Tub Boat is on my to-do list, the sooner the better!

Let's get the dealbreakers right out in the open. I'm poly. Not because I want to collect partners or have a harem, but because I don't believe one person can fulfill all your needs, nor do I think I'm capable of ticking all your boxes. That said, I'm of the mind that ethical non-monogamy is something that needs to be talked about between everyone involved, addressing boundaries and expectations. Plus, a small group of people would make it much easier to buy a house here, right? :)

Other dealbreakers may include: I vape. I quit smoking years ago, but still toot on the douche flute. I'm not a cloudbro or anything as in-your-face as that, I just have a puff occasionally, and the air around me smells like apples or mint. I've been told "cotton candy" comes to mind as well. I was married twice, and divorced the same amount of times. First one was a shitshow of epic proportions, and ended quickly once she ripped off her flesh-like mask and revealed her true demonic form (and not in the fun way!). On the bright side, that unholy union resulted in my offspring, who's a functional adult member of society now. Second marriage lasted a while, eventually dissolved when she wanted kids, and I wanted a vasectomy. There was no way to find a middle ground there, so we split very amicably, and I had my procedure. I didn't even have to wear the Cone of Shame afterwards! I'm chubby, and on my way to being less so. Happy to share pictures if any of this has piqued your interest, or at least hasn't made you run.

Now, if you haven't been scared off, here's a bit more about the good parts of me. I think life's too short to bother with bad drinks, so I learned how to make a couple cocktails. I usually just go for a Jameson's or Writer's Tears if I'm feeling spendy. I can chop wood. I've got a toolbox full of goodies and I'm able to fix most things around the house. While I'm certainly not a genius, I think my IQ is slightly north of average, and love good conversations about philosophy, existentialism, psychology, religion, psychedelics, politics, pop culture...I could go on. Speaking of politics, I lean to the left.

So what about you? What's going to make you stand out? Well, I appreciate manners, intelligence, curiosity (no sincere question is out of bounds with me), humour of all sorts, and the ability and desire to be creative when faced with an obstacle. I can't date single parents, as that part of my life is over now and I'm moving forward, but if you have grown kids (or no kids), that's just dandy!
