So this is the part where I'm supposed to convince you why I'm better than every other man on these posts. I tried looking in the Thesaurus for flattering but not obnoxiously-overly-confident adjectives implying literacy, attractive-if-you-like-the-type-looks, sense of humor negated if it has to be explained, general qualities of one who doesn't kick dogs, cats or tiny children, a sense of loyalty, honor, fairness, etc. Then I wrote this instead. Lets get the obscure stuff out of the way first.

I have moderate addictions to tacos, documentaries, museums, history and baseball. I have deep rooted fears of clowns, milk within 3 days of expiration and my relatives. “I believe in the soul, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, and good beer. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing the designated hitter. I believe in opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet, lip biting kisses that last three days. (I omitted parts and changed a few things so this isn’t an exact quote, but it’s enough that I feel it deserves quotes and overall, I completely agree with this)."

• I believe that love, true love, is putting aside personal desires for another person… and looking past minor imperfections, and choosing them anyway. I believe that people who are truly in love, stick it out even when things get tough. When you truly love someone, you celebrate their successes, comfort them in their losses, laugh with them, cry with them, and experience life with them.
• I believe you can never say "please," "thank you," "goodnight," or "good morning" too much.
• I drink a lot of water. I pee a lot. I never drink pop. I love tea. I pee a lot.
• I always look for the good to outweigh the bad in people, which can honestly hurt, or result in disappointment.
• I'm mischievous.
• Good conversation deepens me.
• I love learning new things and applying them.
• I can make people laugh, without tickling them.
• I don't have the filter from my brain to my mouth that keeps me from saying things I shouldn't most times.
• I pet dogs left in cars, outside of grocery stores and gas stations...and I will gladly provide a free broken window to anyone who leaves their dog in a car on a hot day.
• I don't know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop.
• I love the sound of other people's laughter.....except in bed, where laughter may be acceptable.....but pointing is inappropriate and just down-right mean.
• I like breakfast on Sunday mornings.
• I really like breakfast on Sunday mornings.
• I don't run with scissors.
• I have never stabbed anyone in the eye.
• I never overload the washer.
• I totally overload the washer.
• I don't mind if you eat off my plate.
• I will always have your back.
• My weird habits can be adorable.
• I write notes for no reason.
• I will probably kiss you...when you least expect it.
• My heart will jump every time you walk through the door as if it were the first time.
• Sometimes, I won't let you leave for work in the morning.
• I'll never say "nothings wrong" when there really is.
• I'll take care of you when you're sick.
• Sometimes...you won't be able to get me out of your head.
• If you misspell something, I'll just think it's cute.
• My favorite vacation will be one that involves you.
• I'll save everything you ever give me.
• You really would dig having me to cuddle with on the couch.

What I am looking for:

General qualities...one who doesn’t kicks dogs, cats, or tiny children. Sweet, down-to-earth and adventurous. Someone who will get a kick out of me just as I am, as opposed to kicking me for who I am. Happy. Poor? Don't care. Rich? Don't care. Just be able to make your own way through life, and be yourself. Loyal. Honest. Kind is good. Compassion is great. Emotionally available is important. Funny is a trait that defies definition or is ruined in the act of defining, so surprise me. Not too twisted by life. If your dream is to become the world's greatest thumb-wrestler, I totally dig it. Someone who likes the outdoors and all that comes with it. If your type of outdoor enjoyment is standing outside in a thunderstorm, leaning on a lightning rod while flying a kite, then we're not even on the same planet.

I miss affection and romance. I miss absentminded touches because it comforts in a way you can never define. Being each other’s home and adventure. Shared moments, shared stories, good mornings and good nights. I miss flirting. Constant want. Words backed up by action. No fake. No fluff.

I miss the art of courting. Putting your best foot forward and making a small effort to impress each other is sorta lost now. Thought I'd give this a try.
