There are so many cute things to do and no one to do them with, let’s fix that!
To start things off, I’m a widow(er though widower sounds dumb to me), and after a metric ton of therapy and the encouragement of some friends I recently got on dating apps to “get back out there”. And man I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been so removed from it, or if I’m just not caught up with the times, or if it’s an age thing, but dating is hard.
Ultimately I’m looking for a slow burn, something that starts out as a friendship and goes from there. That being said I’m not looking for JUST friendship, but something that is based on that, because being friends with your significant other is the way to go right?
I’m a pretty big self proclaimed nerd with a decent amount of hobbies that include: - Film Photography - Hiking (for cool landscapes that I can take film photos of) - Rock climbing (though after a hiatus I’m getting back into it) - Building Lego and/or Gundam, I’ve got a backlog of each - Cars, recently bought my dream car so driving around, working on it…and taking photos of it. - D&D - Gaming on occasion - Reading, i just started The Third Body Problem
A little more about me: Im a freelance photographer and videographer, so chances are I’ve always got a camera on me. Going out and trying new food spots sounds just as fun as staying in and binging a show. Im 5’7, so not very tall, Hispanic, different colored eyes and what I think is a great sense of humor, I’ll probably laugh at all your jokes unless they’re genuinely terrible.
I have a dog, a white Siberian Husky with a ton of personality, so as much as I try to lint roll myself, I’ll probably have some of his hairs on me.
I also have a son, he’s just a baby though so I’m not having him meet anyone I’ve dated, and probably won’t until it’s serious.
Not really sure what else to put. If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading!
