Attention comes all too easily, but I confess I have a specific type which is increasingly difficult to find and vet for on apps so I am open to meeting someone who might live a little further away.

My F4R experience thus far? 99% of the messages are from men, though a few pretend (badly) to be women. 90% use empty profiles or their NSFW or cheating throwaways. 40% say "hi" and leave it at that. 30% spam their obvious copy-paste "you seem cool so here's my intro" messages. Most of these messages are from people who don't fit your criteria at all when it comes to basics like age and location. 15% of the messages are blatantly sexual and a few are even generous enough to include pictures! If you ask for something specific in your profile, less than 5% comply. Only 1-2% of the messages are well-written and serious but so far I have had no progress in the relationship direction because true chemistry and compatibility is uncommon.   

I am seeking someone who is 30-40ish, based in Europe, actually chubby or bigger (aka no skinny people with body dysmorphia), socially fluent, emotionally intelligent, experienced with women, prefers cities to the countryside, finds beauty in all shapes and sizes and cares deeply about issues affecting women and minorities. I don’t currently have pets but love dogs, am open to future children, do not smoke, loathe the smell of weed and consume alcohol once in a blue moon. Unable to relocate in the near future.
