It's amazing how well you can get to know someone when they're a stranger. Years ago, I found truly special people through r4r when I was going through a particularly hard time. Strangers can give you a different perspective you never would have though of. You can be more honest with each other when you know you don't have to see each other at that party next week.
My friends are settling down and having babies (what's up with that?) and I take care of my dying father, who lives with me. So probably like a lot of you, I'm finding myself with more time on my hands and fewer people to spend it with.
