Hey, I'm James from Ireland. I'm utterly fed up with dating APPs. I thought I'd give this a go. At the minute I'm just interested in chatting with people in Ireland (north and south), as I'm not able to travel at the minute.

About me:

• Nerd/gamer - I love gaming, particularly tabletop and roleplaying games. I also enjoy PC gaming. I'm always up for joining an RPG or GMing for people. I would really like to meet fellow gamers.

*Metalhead - I'm a huge music fan. I mainly listen to various genres of metal and goth, but I do have a wide range of tastes. Some of my favourites are: Iron Maiden, Slipknot, Eluveitie, Rammstein and Cradle of Filth.

*Academic - I've always been academic and currently have several degrees. My main areas of focus have been literature and ancient history. I'm also hugely interested in philosophy, science, politics and religion. I'm starting to learn German too. I'm always happiest when learning.

*No small talk - I'm terrible at small talk. It might be in part due to being autistic, but I'd much rather talk about the big topics. I'd rather know about your inner thoughts and deepest desires than talk about the fucking weather. Spoiler: in Ireland it is rain, always rain.

Sceptic - I'm an advocate for scepticism, critical thinking and humanism. This things are important to me and should be important to everyone. If you're opposed to these values, we'll most likely not get along. It's safe to safe I'm a liberal/leftie.

Polyamorous - I've recently come to the realisation that I'm poly. No, this isn't just a sex thing. I recognise it's a lot of pressure to expect one person to meet all of our needs. I'm also ethically non-monogamous and a relationship anarchist. I would prefer the people I meet to be these things too, as it will work better, but if they aren't, that's okay as long as they are fine with me being poly, ENM, etc.

Age range - I'm open to chatting with people between 20 - 50, but I have a strong preference for people 25 - 45, as we're much more likely to have similar experiences and connect more.

What I want - at first I'm interested in chatting and dating, and if we click, I'm happy for something more serious.
