At a recent get together, someone asked the room "What flavor are you?"

Dark chocolate. Without hesitation. Chocolate that makes children cry with disappointment and betrayal. Dark enough to come out the other side as bright and tart. Vexing and not for everyone.

I'm not sure what relationship I'm looking for. Camping buddy with benefits? Weekend of debauchery? Several weekends of debauchery? Occasional epic adventures? Whirlwind romance? A slow burning away of our mutual commitment issues? A really good friend? I’m flexible. Whatever we end up being to one another, I need someone who challenges me, mentally, physically, and emotionally. I hope to do the same for you.

Distance doesn't matter a ton to me. As long as you are as willing and able to get on a plane as I am, we can figure it out.

I enjoy and appreciate masculinity. Try as I might, I can’t seem to quit my testosterone habit.  I like dominant men with a diverse skill set and varied interests. I’m absolutely a sapiosexual. Teach me something. I don’t care what it is. I like smart men with orderly minds. (Is there a support group for women who love engineers?) Be fit enough for adventures, indoors and out. A dark, dry sense of humor makes me a little weak in the knees.  Be passionate about something. Be joyful, however that manifests for you.

I’m 39, short, and currently a little curvy. (Are we still blaming covid for that? 5’2, 135), all limbs and digits still present and accounted for.  I can travel. I work from home. Childfree. Vaccinated. Reasonably sane and emotionally stable. 

I like outdoorsy things, camping, kayaking, hiking, sitting on the porch all evening sipping a cocktail and talking. When I am not chained to my laptop for work I am doing something. Fixing something. Making something. Learning something. Exploring something or someplace. Plotting my next hobby or adventure. I like to read, sew, build things, be generally domestic, travel, and learn. I’m not into sci-fi or fantasy. Currently I'm obsessed with making terrariums from plants I collect on adventures, making large surreal animal sculptures, and finishing the small house I am building. I love the gulf south, humidity, shade, and cooking industrial quantities of seafood in the backyard with someone’s big boisterous family. I have nomadic tendencies. I'm an independent loner but not particularly introverted.

I suck at routines. I play fast and loose with food safety standards. My purse is a black hole of chaos and lost tic tacs. I have some somewhat onerous family obligations. My nail polish is not always chip free. I’m political. People would not describe me as sweet.  You probably won’t like the music I listen to. I can be emotionally distant. I’ve fallen asleep in a movie theater more than once. I curse like a sailor and flirt with grumpy old men.
