Meeting people here on Reddit has definitely bee a bit hit or miss, and some might say that posting on Friday the 13th is just asking for trouble, but I think I'll be fine. After all, I'm not really superstitious, but I am a little stitious...

Anyway, as the Great Dumpster Fire of 2020 sputters and threatens to send us all back into lockdown, I'm hoping to find some local-ish people to chat with, get to know, and see where things go. It's been pretty tough to meet people since I moved here back in December, but I'm hoping to make up for lost time this winter! I'm hoping to find a longer-term chat/friendship with someone relatively local, and I'm open to all sorts of stuff: platonic friendships (bonus points if you're down to hang out and get stoned), casual flirting, and even romance if we click and things head in that direction. I'm also hoping to meet people who are opening to actually hanging out at some point (in proper time, and with all the proper COVID precautions), and ideally someone who'd enjoy smoking a bowl or popping an edible with me.

My name's Scott, nice to meet ya! I'm 32, single with no kids, and I have one amazing little doggo, Max. My career is in software engineering, but I've been taking a bit of a forced sabbatical this year thanks in large part to COVID. I'm 6'1" (if that's important) and rocking a dad bod, but that just means I can dish out some expert level cuddling! I'm drug and disease free (except for cannabis), I wear a mask in public like a reasonable human being, and if politics matter I'm definitely a liberal (though not exactly militant about it). I'm a bit of an empath, and I do my best to be understanding and non-judgmental of others as long as they're extending the same respect to me. Mental health is really important to me, and I try to do my best to encourage others around me to care for theirs as well. I've been described as "funny," "sweet," "annoyingly smart," and "a big teddy bear."

As for hobbies, I'm a total nerd, but I also really enjoy getting out and actually doing stuff when I can. I absolutely love to learn new things, which has led to a moderate addiction to educational and explainer YouTube channels. I enjoy PC gaming, especially stuff that puts my engineer's mind to work (think Factorio and RimWorld). I can also enjoy just about any music outside of country, and recent favorite artists have been AJR, OK Go, Marshmello, and my all-time favorites, Blink-182. I'm a reader (albeit a slow one), and I've just recently finished Patrick Rothfuss' excellent Kingkiller series. Board games are pretty awesome too, and I'd love to find a goof group to hang out and play with some time. I also enjoy outdoorsy stuff like hiking, camping, and kayaking, and would love to have a partner to hit the trail with before winter is here to stay.
