Let's skip the exhaustive list of interests and personality traits
I never understood why these posts read like dating profiles crafted by committee. I'm not looking for someone who checks arbitrary boxes - more interested in how your mind works.
I'm into analyzing things that probably don't need to be analyzed. History, languages, gaming. The usual interests of someone who spends too much time inside their own head. I occasionally venture outside for basketball despite a decade-long break that my body reminds me of regularly. Also partial to whatever spontaneous bad decision seems interesting at the moment - those usually make for better stories anyway.
Looking for conversation that moves between the substantive and completely random. Someone who can transition from philosophical tangents to absurd observations without missing a beat. Bonus points if you're the type who finds humor in unexpected places.
What historical period would you choose to observe (not live in) if you could? And for something completely different - what's the most ridiculous hill you're willing to die on?
