If I didn’t start a whole “new year, new me” thing by now, do I have to wait until next year? 3 weeks late, only 49 left in the year. I may have missed the boat on 2025…

Alas! We have a whole new weekend upon us! Why not start here? So I’m gonna. I’m gonna go for a run. Got a half marathon in May that I am woefully unprepared for. I’m gonna write a bit over the weekend. I’ve started keeping a journal of new movies that I watch and I’m gonna try to start other writings too.

And, the reason why I’m here, I’m gonna try and get some chats going and hopefully make some friends along the way. I’m good with short term, easy going chatting. But it’d also be cool to make some long term connections here. That’s possible even on Reddit, right?

So, who am I? I’m glad you asked. I’m a 31 year old Irish guy with a keen interest in movies, sports, reading and baking. Covers all bases, right?

I do love watching movies. I’d give anything a try. Some of my favourites are Interstellar, Almost Famous, About Time, Shaun of the Dead and Back to the Future. Currently on a binge of Leo DiCaprio movies. Also open to any suggestions

Similar with books, I’d give anything a try. Though I do tend to lean towards thriller or sci-fi stuff. Can’t wait for Mickey 17 to come out this summer cause the book it’s based on is fantastic

Big football fan. Huge Arsenal fan. Also enjoy rugby and athletics. As I said, trying to get back into the groove with running. Really need to get that sorted

Incredibly amateur baker too. Mostly cheesecakes. And non-bake cheesecakes cause they’re mostly idiot proof. Cause this idiot right here needs all the help he can get :P

Anyway, I’ve rambled for long enough. Don’t know if any of it is appealing or intriguing, but it’s what I’ve gone with… so if any of it has piqued your interest, made you laugh or just exhale through your nose a little faster than usual, you know what to do!
