43[M4F] GA - Southeastern US- If the World was Ending I’d Wanna Be Next to You

I noticed it was time for me to come up with some original material so I started staring with intent at this screen thinking to myself ‘self, what are we going to write that gives a woman the impression that I have my shit together?’ And I’ll be honest I was pretty stumped. See, I have no superhero like qualities that the ladies seem to go for; no chiseled abs, no pointy jawline, no tattoos etc. I’ve got this old dad bod that got mixed up with eating too much banana pudding during a 17 year stretch of the ‘non-single’ life.

I have hair, it’s turning colors and as my papa always said, it can turn anything it wants as long as it don’t turn loose. I have the makings of a beard and it’s turning white-I’ve been debating coloring it back to brown so I look more ‘hip’ like the younger guys do. I’ve got the ability to stay still for a few minutes and take a nap virtually anywhere! I’ve been in the gym this past year. And omg I realized that I was out of shape. I still have a ways to go, but I’ve lost 45 lbs! High five! I love love to take road trips! And to complain when I’m filling up my truck to the person at the next pump over how I can remember back when gas was 96 cents.

I am all about some good road trip music. I’ve got 1283 songs on my liked list on Spotify and I could use some serious help cleaning that up. Are you good with the technology? I love sporting events and concerts! Here recently I went to my first hockey game and it worked wonders for my adhd. I was glued to the action the whole time. Wanna go? Let’s go! I’d like to take a cruise this year…you can come on that with me too if you want. So here’s my dilemma; I have searched this reddit-verse high and low for what seems like forever for someone that is interested in finding a long term friend that needs lots of hugs and constant love, when available. And the thing is no one ever sticks more than a few days.

The ghosts are real. Usually after I share a photo and they realize I’m just ‘normal.’ I mean, I’m not ugly, just yesterday my grandma told me I was handsome (she’s 84 and has dementia). Or they’ll disappear after that initial new chat energy wears off. It’s really hard out here to find a person. But I’d rather do it here than on a dating app like farmersonly. At least here we can get to know someone thru their words and then attach a face to the narrative.

I love all the other fun stuff that normal people like also; Taco Tuesdays, going to the movies, staying home to watch a show, going to see live plays and musicals and reading books with words and not just pictures. I’m an early bird as opposed to a night owl unless I’m battling the demon that is insomnia. I drink diet Dr Pepper and love a good chocolate chip cookie.

What I’m hoping to find:

You - just you. Nothing extra. Someone that appreciates the little things, the small gestures, a forehead kiss on a rainy afternoon, a slow dance in the kitchen while we’re waiting on a frozen pizza to finish. Someone that wants to ride roller coasters and scale mountains and asks ‘Why’ and never apologizes for who she is!

You have a smile that makes a man forget every problem he had that day.

You have a heart so big that others are drawn to your energy.

You have a voice that you can use to tell me what you want and what you need.

You have the ability to discern when your person is having a good day or a cloudy day and can react accordingly.

You’ll eventually open your heart to a guy like me and let me hold it gently and let me share my heart with you.

You understand scheduling with a life after divorce. While I’ll make you my priority I expect you to know what it’s like when schedules go wacky.

You’re open minded; we may disagree on politics or religion or our favorite baseball team or how you cook your steak (medium rare…otherwise you’re a psychopath). But a real connection is gauging someone’s soul, not if they voted for an idiot.

And, you talk a little dirty.

Location: I am going to want to meet you. So in a perfect world you’re in the South Georgia or North Florida area or don’t mind a little distance or like train rides or can fly into Savannah or Jacksonville. Or are somewhere that me traveling to you is easy. Long distance doesn’t frighten me, as long as I know we can both look up and see the stars together.
