I work from home and it gets lonely without coworkers. Sometimes I just miss shooting the shit with people by the water cooler, ya know?

So, I would love to find someone to be a “coworker,” who would like to be on video w me at our respective desks, muted as needed, while we work. Sometimes my work is kinda mindless and I can chat while I do it, other times I need more focus.

We could even use pomodoro or something similar and take “social breaks” after blocks of work time. It would be cool to get to know someone like I have with coworkers when I worked in an office previously.

I’m in the Eastern Time Zone (UTC-05:00) and I typically work M - F 12pm - 8pm, some times later. I’m thinking someone in the west would probably have similar working hours to mine.

I have ADHD so this would be sort of like “body doubling” for me as well as socializing. In case you’re not familiar, “ADHD body doubling is a productivity strategy used by individuals with ADHD to finish possibly annoying jobs while having another person beside them.” To clarify, you don’t have to do anything, just being there, even on camera, helps me stay on task.

A little about me: I’m chatty (hello, extroverted ADHDer 🙋🏻‍♀️). I enjoy chatting about a variety of topics that can be superficial or even deeply philosophical. I watch too much tv and wish I read more. I’m a lover of hip hop and dogs. I grew up on a farm but live in a city. At times I curse like a sailor, so if F-bombs are offensive, this won’t work out. Lol. I have a successful business that I’m quite passionate about. I’m a progressive liberal, so we should avoid political conversations if you’re not.
