me:
i'm 46 and i'm a tall (but not freakishly tall), short-haired, bearded man who's (mostly) slim
i was a student (linguistics) until recently, bit now i work in a library. wild, wild times
i make music and i've been in a few different bands. as a younger fellow, i was in some noisy surf / indiepop / post-punk bands, but now i make slower, more melodic stuff. most of m'tunes are, like, ten minutes long. i don't get many gig offers!
i've been making music by myself for the last few years, but it'd be ace to be in a group again! genres-wise, i'm mostly into post-rock and post-punk, but i also like jangly indie / dreampop, IDM, alt-country, and neo-classical
i'm into films, so say hi if you're a film nerd. i enjoy american indies, french new wave, british kitchen sink, hollywood blockbusters... definitely not a snob! i used to work in an arthouse cinema in the 2000s, so i've seen a lot of different kindsa films
books-wise, i mostly read literary fiction, but i might crack open a detective novel from time-to-time. i also read a few non-fiction titles every year. i'm currently reading nevada (fiction) and a city on mars (non-fiction)
other stuff i like, but have little time for: fell running, bouldering, hiking, hanging out in cafes, lindy-hopping, eating pies
