I am a dog mama that loves traveling. I work in education and just spent all of winter break in Japan. Something incredible I did was I biked the Shimanami Kaido (solo!), all 50 miles of it, in one day. I am a “plus size girly” (see photos) but lead a pretty healthy lifestyle. During the pandemic I bought a Peloton & became super obsessed with it and lost a significant amount of weight, but then, I started an unexpectedly stressful job in administration and in the last 2.5 years have gained weight back. These past 2.5 years have been batshit insane - to hospitalizing a colleague, to taking a mental health leave, the devastating loss of a family member to now being bullied by my supervisor - June 30th (when I resign) cannot come fast enough. I can’t wait to spend 2 months doing whatever the hell I want and not being bothered. Right now, I am thinking about spending 16 days in Norway & biking the Rallarvegen Trail/exploring fjords.
As crazy as this life has been, I have done a lot of personal growth & healing. Most recently, I’m back on my fitness journey and so that’s v, v important to me and I’m going to talk a lot about it. Be ready. I’m also a PhD student because I #staydoingthemost. Ideally, I am looking for someone more local who I can hangout with on occasion (it’s almost restaurant week in the Chi) and see where things go, but also be open to chatting with someone as long as our time zones make sense.
