Who I Am:

I'm 41, a writer, and I'm working on my Bachelor's of Science in Communication. I'm more than halfway there!

I'm nurturing, kind, ambitious, and reasonably intelligent. I'm ultra feminine, and I love animals (0 to 4 legs is my limit). I'm into vintage fashion, escape rooms, medical documentaries, shopping, and the occasional nap. I can enjoy a pajama-clad movie night on the couch or dressing up for a fun night out. I am a progressive thinker and agnostic. I am a cisgendered heterosexual female, but I am an ally for those who are not.

I do not believe I am better than anyone. No one is an "other." Showing tolerance for those who are different is something I strive for. People come in all shapes, sizes and backgrounds. We have all walked a path, and life dealt us all different cards. A little kindness, when appropriate, goes a long way.

What I'm looking for:

• The short answer: companionship, friendship, and a small chance of something romantic. All local, please.
  
• A non-smoker (no judgment. I'm just allergic)
  
• Someone with no criminal background.
• Someone with no anger issues; the ability to regulate your emotions is a requirement.
  
• Emotional intelligence is a must.
• Transparency; be honest and upfront about your intentions.
• A progressive, critical thinker is a must for me. I just can't vibe with people who are intolerant, assuming, and/or elitist.
• I am child-free for life and would strongly prefer someone who is the same (I've joined the subreddits)
  
• A man who values what's between my ears more than he values what's between my legs.

What I'm Not Looking For:

• Nerds/Geeks, gamers, cosplayers, etc. Again, no judgment whatsoever. It's a great culture with great people. It's just not something I'm into.
• Fulfilling the role of a mother or caretaker
• Friends with benefits, one-night stands, hookups, or a guy who is a "player." If this is what you want, that's fine, but be upfront about it so we can both move on to other people without getting hurt. I am not going to compromise on this.
  
• Outdoor activities, country music, hunting, fishing, mudding, etc. Great culture, just not my thing.
  
• Addiction, anger issues, and/or a criminal history. We all have trauma, but you cannot bleed all over everyone else.
• Married men (happily or unhappily), engaged men, men in a relationship, or men who are seeing multiple women without being honest about it with ALL parties.
  
• Narcissists; men who coerce, manipulate, or use toxic dating tactics such as love bombing, breadcrumbing, negging, controlling, isolation, etc.
  
• People who are rude to people in customer service, i.e. servers, cashiers, store clerks, etc.
  
• Men who like to dictate my life; I am sweet, but not submissive. Being a good person is ideal, but being nice isnt always ideal. As soon as I detect a bad spirit, we're done. I get up from the table when love is no longer being served.

Anything else You Might Want to Know:

I'm pale and I love it. I like the temperature cold, and I sleep in pitch black darkness and silence. I will spoil your animals. The windows have to be up in the car. My hair is long, and leaving the windows down will make me look like Cousin It by the time we reach our destination. I am medically complicated, but you can't tell by looking, and I don't need a caretaker or your health insurance. I like my environment tidy and organized. I've had a rough go at life, for reasons beyond my control, but I am determined to bloom where I am planted.
