My wants are pretty simple: someone who enjoys longform communication, is kind, and cares about open lines of communication. I prefer to get to know people slowly and deeply at the end of the day. 

Things to know about me: I mean what I say, and say what I mean. I want what I say to have intent. There is no reading between the lines with me and I often find that it unsettles people to speak plainly. I prefer the same in return.  However, that doesn’t mean I’m blunt for the sake of being blunt. I do really care about how my words and actions land, and I’m often the friend who will stay on with you until I know whatever is unsettling you clears. But always being that person weighs on me when I can’t be 100% on some days. I guess I’m looking for someone I could take comfort in, whatever form that may be, and I’d provide the same. 

I know I haven’t provided a list of my interest or hobbies, but it’s intentional because I don’t want people feeling ruled out because they don’t share the same interests and vice versa. To me it's really about the person and less their hobbies or aesthetics.

I am super cognizant and respectful of people's time as well as my own. We all have busy lives and capacity, so as much as I would love to spend endless time talking to someone, I recognize that that's not always possible, hence the open lines of communication.  But it is also why I ask that if this post resonates with you, to send me a direct message and not a chat or a response to this thread. My chats are turned off, so I won’t see it. Most people that I end up corresponding with often reaches way past the Reddit message limit, if that is any indicator of what it would be like. 

To make it easier, since responding to posts are always a bit nerve-wracking, tell me a small thing you can take comfort in,  no matter how small or mundane. 

One small ask — please be near-ish to my age. Not to say I can't talk to anyone younger or older but sometimes it's easier to have aligned goals or dreams when you're of similar age. Either way I'm flexible. Hope to hear from you soon.
