Would anybody out there disagree to a little chat or two?
I'm trying to rehab my social muscles, and get better at listening to people. I have ADHD, and with that, comes bad habits- like trying to maintain eye contact at the expense of actually listening, or trying to resist going off on tangents, which then redirects my focus off the actual conversation and before I know it, I'm in the dark playing catch-up, and trying to survive the conversation rather than enjoying it.
I hear, the only way to break 'em, is to have lots and LOTS of quality practice.
So! If talking and getting to know people is your idea of fun, I'm your guy. You like being asked lots of questions about you? Ay, that's me. ...Also though, I'm looking for some reciprocal conversation- so you gotta put in some work too. I'm not lookin' for *that* kind of a challenge- I think we'd all rather flog ourselves then be subjected to one-sided conversations: There's less pain involved in the latter. If you know, you know, lol.
You may be wondering why it's M4F rather than M4R, and that's because it's easier for me to talk to women, rather than men- when it's online at least. In person it's very much the reverse. Go figure, lol.
So I know this sounds transactional, and it is. At the same time, my goal is to see the human in front of me for who they are, and hopefully have some fun in the process. I hope that's okay with you.
Also, I'm intentionally leaving my interests, and hobbies etc. out so we can explore those things in conversation. It's not like real people walk around with their passions on a nametag, so I figure it's better that way.. Train real, fight real, amirite?
TTYS!
