Howdy!

Hope your weekend has kept you well and that, if you got it, you put your extra hour to good use. I'll confess, mine was spent in bed, which I feel is an excellent use of that time. I'm posting here, late at night looking for someone to become a reason for me to smile when a notification from them pops up on my phone! Maybe that is you, maybe it's not, but how will we know if we don't try? Plus, life is always more fun when you take a few risks.

I suppose you need to know a little something about me. I'm Rex (fake name, but if we get on, I'll tell ya my real one, plus end you a photo). I'm an Irish guy, working an (home) office job in Dublin but living out in the countryside. Making the most of this remote work whilst it lasts, though I suspect that won't be long. Physically, I'm 6'2, big green eyes, beard and dark hair. Broad shoulders, big hands, grew up on a farm so sort of just develop those. Never been married and don't have kids (but open to both in the future, but not entirely sold on either).

In my spare time, I like to invest time in my hobbies. I've recently started making YouTube videos, which has definitely been a learning experience. I'm a gym guy, I love the mental health benefits a workout, or even just a walk/run in fresh air can have. I try to meditate at least three times a week and have been getting back into yoga. I play some videogames 9especially in the winter, when the nights are long and the weather is downright terrible, but it's not the entire focus of my spare time.

I love music, and I am steadfastly stuck in my punk-pop era. Going to gigs now and seeing the bands I loved becoming older is really bittersweet, though they can still rock as well as they did 15 years ago. God, just writing that made me feel old. I'll listen to pretty much anything though, maybe we can introduce each other to new music?

I love to cook. I also love to eat. I'm a fan of a casual drink or two, but don't enjoy going out and getting blackout drunk like I used to. Non-smoker, don't do drugs (but not opposed to drugs, I just choose not to consume them) and I love animals. Honestly, if I won the lottery, I'd just buy a ton of land and open a massive sanctuary for all the animals who are unloved or uncared for.
