Hi there!

Let’s start with who you’re about to talk to! I’m a 35 year old guy currently in Houston, TX working in automotive. I’m well traveled, well educated, open minded about the world, a student pilot (although very slow going), amateur gardener, creative storyteller, recovering musician, avid backpacker, and bleeding heart for all animals (currently have two dogs and a cat!). I try to be a balanced person between artistic and physical endeavors, and I’m just as likely to be at home doing something creative as I am out for a run or walk with my pups or on a dusty trail somewhere. I’m much more at home in a flannel shirt and hiking boots, although I won’t say no to the occasional reason to put on a nice jacket and pretend to be bougie.

I recently came to Houston thinking it was the next step in finding what I’m after in life, and it seems like maybe it was a big misstep as I misjudged a lot of the reasons I moved here.

That being said, I don’t plan on staying here. I’m currently in the process of selling my home in the last place I lived, and once that’s done plan on finishing out my lease here in Houston and moving on. I nearly pulled the trigger on moving to Denver rather than Houston before I moved here, and I plan to move that direction once I’m free of my obligations here, though not sure major cities are still my vibe - think mid sized and away from town on a farm! I love cold weather and snowy winters, so somewhere where I can have that and a big garden with some farm animals and space for my pups to run and play.

So, all that said, I’m looking for someone to share my days with. If you’re local to HTX, great, if not, I’m fine with distance so long as we make intention to meet (although my traveling is a bit limited while I deal with my house, so fingers crossed my house sells quickly!). I like to chat through the days as we can, although I work a very demanding job right now and totally respect if you do too, but expect some pebbling of memes! I’m really hoping just to meet someone in the same phase of their life that knows sometimes things happen on their own timeline and is ready to make the choice to commit and work towards building something together.

I don’t have a particular type of person in mind, although I do ask that you’re in roughly the same phase of your life. I think of relationships very much as a choice, and I’m hoping to find someone who will make that choice with me rather than rely on emotional highs and fleeting chemistry - ya boy has been through the ringer with people who talk a big game and then dip when the next best thing comes along, and I just don’t have the heart to invest in the wrong person again.
