34 y/o lady in Texas.
Life status- in shambles lmao.

Had to move back in with my parents due to major life changes (read- ex of 14 years dumped my ass outta nowhere)
Currently trying to find both a weekend job and getting enrolled into college in hopes of getting my RN degree.

Something major I learned after being essentially abandoned is while I do covet my alone time being entirely alone isn't all that great. Going to hard times or hell even happy times is hard when you're the only one dealing with it. For instance, I have no one to share my excitement of my next life phase and frankly.. that sucks. A lot.

Looking for friends. Fair warning, I haven't tried to get to know anyone since I was literally 19 lol. I essentially got with a dude and stopped trying altogether. (This was my first mistake in a loooooong line of mistakes :D) Not saying I'm immature, but I'd appreciate grace if there's some social nuance I'm not picking up on.

Likes
-Cats. I have 2 that are the sweetest babies that I love dearly.
-Reality TV. Big Brother and Survivor are at the top of my favs list. I watch scripted shows as well of course. Last one I started was The Boys. I'm mid season 2 and unsure if it's worth finishing.
-Volunteering! I usually do a yearly clean up in my town and recently I was interested in helping with a local Special Olympics event but had to hold my horses as my car unexpectedly needs repairs. I'm hoping after I get my degree I can volunteer more.
-Games. The Sims, Stardew, Neopets... yes neopets is still around. My post history is 99% in that sub. (I swear I don't play it all day, I just really like that community and really don't use reddit for much else.)

Dislikes
-Watching sports with the paralympics being the only exception. I only started watching because a couple of Survivor contestants competed this year and now it'll be a regular thing for me as I ended up watching as much of it as I possibly could.
-I can't think of other dislikes right now. Other than math. Been brushing up on that for a couple of weeks for my college entrance exam and maaaaaaaaaaaan I am o-v-e-r-i-t.

Wants
-To travel! Once I get my financial situation settled I fully intend on traveling anywhere and everywhere I can. I've let myself stay stuck in this town without a vacation from all the dust and I'm over it.
-A house! with a catio! I don't let my cats outside so a designated catio where they can enjoy the benefits of outside without getting run over or terrorizing the birds would be perfect.
-A friend! That's why I'm here!
