I have always found personals tough to write.
Maybe it is self-confidence, anhedonia, or confusion over expectations, but I spend more time deleting words than accepting them.
Admittingly, I am in the midst of a mental health journey, and although I am not here to seek therapy, I wanted to be upfront from the get-go and might not be for everyone.
Still, it would be nice to form new connections during this lonely time.
Ideally, with someone who appreciates candid conversations, has relatable interests, or has gone through a similar phase in their life.
Or just someone interested in exchanging "good morning" texts and mutually supportive words throughout the day.
And if that falls through, we can always ghost each other... there are no real expectations.
With regards to me, I would describe myself as an easy-going, reserved, and reclusive individual.
You can usually find me playing online RPG's, reading various fiction novels, jogging in the evenings, and exploring local eateries.
I do not listen to music much and eschew most social media, but daydreaming and writing provides me with similar catharses.
While I would like to write more, I am starting to hit writer's block, so in the event you would be interested in striking up a conversation and seeing where things lead, send a Reddit chat with your favorite icebreaker.
If putting a face to a name helps, I can send a selfie early on, but I ask that you reciprocate in kind.
