My wife and I are separated and have begun the very long, painful process toward divorce. We're continuing to cohabitate in our home until we sell it in the spring and today was particularly a hard day for both of us. We've been trying to give each other as much space as possible but also this is amicable enough that we are making dinner and eating it together and watching TV before we head to separate bedrooms.
That said...wow, am I feeling lonely. If you have gone through this experience -- especially with a long term partner that you didn't hate but knew divorce had to happen for everyone to finally be happy -- I would be interested in chatting. Even if just to hear from someone else who's hopefully doing a lot better after coming out on the other side. I have a small but effective support network, but would appreciate hearing from fellow Redditors who understand. I promise not to bum you out too badly, and enjoy funny conversations and anything TV/music/movie related... especially if it's Halloween or horror related!
