Hi I'm a bit of a lonely / anxious introvert but im trying to overcome my anxieties and put myself out there a bit more, lately I've been forcing myself to go out; going to groups and mental health type things but its difficult to make the lasting connections, lately my loneliness has been really bothering me though so I'm hoping to change it a bit and try to find people to talk to with the hope of it maybe leading to a serious relationship. Ideally I'd like to talk to and eventually meet people from the UK but I'm not against the idea of talking to people from any distance if we get along well enough then I'd be happy to try a sort of long distance type thing just over messages for a while. For people who don't get out much like me, meeting new people and having it lead to a relationship in real life seems so difficult.
A bit about me, I had a pretty normal social life up until uni where i developed an invisible illness, i managed to finish my degree and worked for a while but eventually had to stop working due to it, i do miss working and would like to get back to it one day if I'm able but I'm primarily focusing on my health and happiness at the moment, i know this will likely put a lot of people off but i want to be honest up front otherwise whats the point. In a way I'd prefer to meet people in similar situations as i feel like they may be more understanding of my situation and less judgmental as a result. When covid happened i basically shut myself away from the world and my social skills and anxieties have never really recovered but im determined to get better.
