I am a graphic designer, musician, dungeons and dragons player (and occasional dungeon master), anime fan (the one piece is real!!) gamer and overall nerd. I have a small core group of friends and we talk with some frequency, but more often than not I find myself alone. If I don't initiate contact first, the conversations usually don't happen. I've been told I'm really fun to talk to, despite the neurospiciness, and yet I have lost count of the number of "friends" that have ghosted me completely. I have convinced myself that I am most likely .... too much; that maybe my difficulty in understanding social cues is to blame. So I guess what I'm asking is- anyone wanna be friends with a weird nerdy dude with the attention span of a soup spoon and a tendency to info dump?
Now for the full disclosure:Â I haven't really talked to a girl in a romantic way in maybe 12 years. I was engage to be married and it didn't work out, so for the last 7 ish years, I've been solo and kind of figuring out how to even talk to people. I still don't know what i'm doing...I just offer friendship with the option for something someday... I don't know how to flirt, I'm not a 'closer' , but I do make a mean grilled cheese sandwich, I can carry a tune (Baritone / Tenor) and I will frequently make up goofy lyrics of the songs you like and sing them back at you.
