While today marks my Reddit Cake Day, I’m just about a month and a half away from my 35th birthday. People often say I’m this enigmatic, mysterious force, but honestly? I’m more of a quirky open book than a riddle wrapped in a puzzle. As an Asian, I carry myself with the quiet confidence of a Scorpio. Standing at 175 cm (about 5'9"), I’m slightly overweight (as I used to play rugby and have a rugby injury that hasn't gone away), but my vibe is laid-back yet expressive, reflecting my personality in everything I do.
Sure, after a day of the usual work grind, I’m often found deep in World of Warcraft (which, let’s be honest, has me hooked like a dragon-filled version of heroin) while a stand-up comedy special plays in the background. But my life isn't all games. I’m a huge fan of Final Fantasy and Xenoblade Chronicles II/III, but I also enjoy city builders and strategy games like Civilization and Cities: Skylines. Some days, I put on my pretender food critic hat as I explore new places to eat or belt out karaoke tunes in the shower like I’m headlining my own show. There are times I’m baking, reading, or writing fantasy worlds that might never see the light of day, and yeah, I’ll even practice stand-up comedy in front of the mirror, secretly hoping to conquer my fear of performing in public. If the weather is to my liking, I love hiking!
When it comes to my personality, I’m a mix of quiet and cerebral, intuitive and empathetic. I may come off as a bit aloof at first, often lost in thought about big philosophical questions or the next great story. But once you get to know me, I’m much more spirited—full of warmth, wit, and the occasional deep conversation about life’s mysteries. I studied International Relations, Sociology, and History at a liberal arts college in the United States. While I'm not currently working in that field, my education has always been a guiding principle in how I interact with people. I’m a progressive and liberal individual who believes in women's rights and LGBT issues, and I'm nonjudgmental and agnostic. I get along well with people who hold views diametrically opposed to mine, as long as we understand each other or agree to disagree—provided it doesn’t cross my major red lines—that’s what truly matters.
What I seek in a partner is genuine kindness, a compassionate spirit, and a shared zest for adventure. I enjoy social drinking and can appreciate a partner who indulges occasionally, but I prefer someone who avoids smoking or is committed to quitting. I cherish open dialogue and insightful conversations, as well as the comforting moments spent over a meal or exchanging fresh ideas. I'm attracted to individuals who possess curiosity about the world, are driven in their endeavors, and can appreciate both togetherness and personal space—someone who can resonate with my quirks and share in life’s small journeys.
Ideally, I’d like to connect with someone who has a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, is open-minded toward different experiences, and loves learning from those around them. I’m not interested in outdated gender expectations or relationships founded on disrespect—what truly matters to me is mutual respect and understanding. I’m looking for someone who’s single, insightful, mature, and passionate about life, preferably in their late 20s to mid-30s, who shares my vision for nurturing a healthy, enriching partnership.
That said, I’m also always happy to make new friends! Whether you're looking for camaraderie or just someone to share a few laughs with, I welcome the opportunity to connect. Life is full of adventures, and I believe that friendships can enrich our experiences just as much as romantic relationships.
