And I'm hoping you see this one, otherwise I'll be back to redoing my SOS seashell sign, just bigger, and adding a patio extension to my beach bungalow. I’m looking for a friend that turns into something that I suspect most of y'all are here for. Even if it doesn't, we're still up a friend in this generally weird dating world we have now. I have qualifiers that lengthen the odds:

• First, I have no interest in having any kids. In large part because of cost, time and risk, and you wouldn't be able to mitigate those enough to change my mind.
• Second, I'm working to create a situation where I can enjoy life and not work until I can’t do as much anymore. That's not imminent, but I hope you think ahead similarly.
• I have a house and live and work remotely in Austin, Texas. I hope you’re in the US too, though I can do long distances in realistic situations. As long as you know English well we should be good: communication is so important.
• besides those basics, I’m as normal as one with my perspective would be, boring even. I need to stay active to not go stir crazy, whether that’s running or walking daily. I'm also mixing in weightlifting and bodyweight exercises after a long time away. It helps me keep my head on straight and stay healthy.
• I keep things low-key, rarely get bored, but still need thrills now and then, and appreciate that sort of temperament.
• I love film, whether it's something that'll tear your heart out or if it's literally a zombie tearing out a heart, I'm in for it. Halloween and end of year "best of the year" catchups are the best. No matter how slow a reader I am sometimes, I love reading. I like skiing when I get out of state, but don't do it enough to be more than okay. and I love the water whether it's being at or on it. Of course, I have the experience bug that millennials have and there’s plenty on my list.

Anything you want to talk about? I’m up for it. Most people have an interesting story and I’d like to get to know yours. Finding something shared to grab onto is really all we need. So you know:

• I stay away from most social media, and I’m demisexual so anything of that sort is a not-now thing.
• We should share pics early, but I don’t not like an old-fashioned “letter” and written communication, without excluding anything else.
• I think I’d consider myself an old soul if that wasn’t so painful say. I'm looking for someone to match that energy, as they say.
• A little more about me: I am 6‘1”, white, and thin. I will probably be rocking a buzz cut soon, if you value luscious locks.
