Hi there, complete-stranger-reading-personal-info-on-another-complete-stranger! A little bit about me: I value physical and mental health and well-being, authenticity, meaning. I tend to listen to music (all kinds, even different languages) and read (mostly, nonfiction) a lot more often than I watch tv or movies. But sometimes I’ll get hooked on something, especially if I’m watching it with company. I have had a Little Bro for the last 3.5 years, through the local youth mentoring organization, who is now 13 years old. We hang out regularly and I’m very grateful to have such a great kid as a part of my life. I’m a cat/dog “dad” (owner). My cat has been a big part of my life for the last 13 years and counting (yes, him and my Little Bro are almost the same exact age, to the day - funny and weirdly serendipitous!). He’s a little bit needy but super-friendly and dog-like. On occasion, I paint in my original style of abstract acrylic on canvas. I’m always doing various projects around the house or creatively. I like basketball, driving my truck, fishing and traveling, when I can. Others have described me as kind, sweet, smart, creative, strong, hard-working and silly. Love languages are all of them at various times but mostly: physical touch, quality time and words of (honest) affirmation. My day job is currently in accounting.

I’m not in any hurry to rush into a relationship but I am seeking a monogamous, long-term commitment with someone who is open-minded towards making a family. I believe romantic relationships in particular are, in reality, mostly about how 2 people are together in the “boring,” “mundane,” and “in-between” times of life. I’d like to find someone with whom we can easily amuse ourselves together, in mutual understanding of each other, no matter what we’re doing or where we’re going. I believe this entails an ability to be mentally present in the moment, emotionally available, growth-oriented, communicative (in all ways; by text, phone, face-to-face, nonverbal), have playful banter, humility, be resourceful, observant/curious of and take a genuine interest of the “inner world” of each other and in whatever environment we may be in… whether that may be on land, water, or in the air (on a plane); at home or in a far away country.
