I'm mostly looking for some good chat company, especially during work hours, but outside of that, too. We'll probably get along best if you're at least a little nerdy, as I certainly am, but so long as you're passionate about something and good at conversation, we should be able to get along.
I love to read, and right now I'm reading a book about Japanese folktales, focusing on supernatural ones, like ghosts and yokai. I've always been interested in the explanations people come up with when they can't explain things themselves. I especially love to read history, scifi, and mysteries. I also write short stories from time to time.
Cooking and drawing are two hobbies I've been focusing on more ever since the pandemic began. I just got some reference pose packs to practice sketching. And I always love trying new recipes. I want to try making my own giardiniera next. I loved it in Chicago but everything around here just isn't the same.
I also enjoy playing games a lot. I've been pretty heavily focused on Horizon Forbidden West for a while. Incredible game that I'm just loving. I really like strategy and management games most, but I play a pretty wide variety of games.
