I’m 30 years old, East Asian (Japanese-American, second generation, “nisei”), child-free, drug-free, non-smoker, and I’m currently looking to meet someone special who shares my desire for a meaningful and romantic connection.

I will be moving to Stamford on the 26th, I currently live in Los Angeles! I will be there in Stamford for a 9-month teaching fellowship. I’m excited about this opportunity and am passionate about making a positive impact on my students' lives. I work at a school 5 days a week and am considering a future in education.

While I’m generally content on my own, I’ve always wanted to share my life with someone—someone I can wake up next to, share the little details of my day with, and who brings joy to those small moments. I’m looking for a partner who feels like my best friend—someone who feels like I’ve known them my whole life. They say relationships are 90% friendship and 10% intimacy. I want to like my partner as a person and not just a partner.

I lead a mostly healthy lifestyle—no soda, smoking, or drugs for me, and I prefer to keep drinking to a minimum. I enjoy drinking plenty of water, eating early meals, and avoiding loud, crowded nightlife.  At this point in my life, I find that I’m more interested in enjoying quieter, more meaningful experiences rather than high-energy parties and excessive drinking. I prefer quieter settings where I can have meaningful conversations without constantly having to repeat myself. You could call me a bit of an old soul in that sense.

Politically, I’m moderate and value mutual respect. I believe in the freedom to follow one’s beliefs as long as it doesn’t harm others. I’m not particularly religious, but I deeply value kindness and understanding. What matters most to me is that you’re a decent, compassionate person.

I’ve never been married and don’t have children but I am open to having children with the right partner. If I’m not working, I enjoy writing, working on my novel and screenplay, drawing, listening to synthwave music, and indulging in 80s/90s films. Coastal drives are a favorite pastime, especially when I need to clear my mind by the ocean.

I’m looking for a relationship that’s happy, cute, and sweet—one where we can enjoy each other’s company, share intimate moments, and talk until dawn. I envision a relationship where we share simple, tender gestures like wiping away lipstick after a kiss, making our connection feel even more special and personal.

While I’m not really interested in anime or video games these days, I did play video games as a child. It’s just not something I’m into now, but I’m open to learning about your interests if they’re important to you.

When it comes to communication, I value consistency. It doesn’t have to be constant calls and/or constant video chats, but regular texts and updates are important to me. In this day and age, with everyone having their phone close by, it’s easy to stay in touch.

Tones in conversation matter to me, so I ask that we be respectful and kind in our interactions. I’m firm in the belief that how someone treats me is exactly how they feel about me. It’s important for me to have a partner who knows how to communicate clearly and respectfully, with actions that match their words.
