Hello! I suppose I should start out by saying that anyone who reaches out to me must be patient. I'm looking for strictly friendship at the moment, though I'm not opposed to it growing into something more and I don't know how long that will take. My divorce will be finalized in a few weeks, and I'm in no place to start a relationship right now. I have a long way to go before I can be a functioning part of a couple again, since my soon-to-be ex-husband dealt a lot of damage to me. But in the meantime, it can be lonely and I want to meet new people and maybe partake in some non-serious flirtatious banter to keep my spirits up.

So! Important stuff first right? Sure sure I can deal with building a friendship into something stronger, but if it goes any further there has to be some sort of physical attraction. I happen to agree with you. I have long blonde hair, green eyes, am 5'6, and am rather curvier than I would like to be. I've been called very flattering things, but I have a hard time accepting compliments. I'm working on that, as well as trying to be more healthy. It's a journey, and if you happen to be on the same one maybe we can be quest partners together and encourage each other. If you were hoping for that "something more one day" option, then I ask that we exchange pictures early. If you just want to be friends and do some gaming with me while we exchange nerdy jokes, then there's no need.

Well, now that you know I'm not a troll I suppose you should know some other stuff about me. I don't have any children, but I love them and would be open to having them in the future. Of course, at the ripe old age of 36 I'm well aware that this might not happen and have made peace with that fact. Fostering or adopting aren't out of the question, so if you're dead set against children you may want to continue scrolling. If you already have kids, hey bonus! I'm politically left leaning, non-religious, a non-smoker, and I don't do any drugs. Unfortunately the smell of a certain substance that people enjoy smoking for recreational purposes gives me severe headaches, so I can't be around it, though I have nothing against it. I'm a full-time doctoral student on the path to being financially independent, and am on track to graduate in 2027. I have nothing tying me to where I am now, so once I'm done with school I'm free to go anywhere I want, though I would preferably like to stay in the United States. I enjoy LOTR, Firefly, Dr. Who, Harry Potter, GoT, Star Trek, DnD, and like to crack jokes and laugh at my own goofy sense of humor. Spend enough time with me and I'll find some way to slip a nerdy reference in somewhere. I also like to knit, puzzle, listen to audiobooks, play boardgames, watch movies/shows, and PC game, though I admit I hooked an N64 up to one of my monitors and will occasionally get the urge to play some LoZ (OoT is my favorite!). Games I like to play are typically survival craft base-building, rpg open world, and farming. I'm really good at Green Hell and have done almost all the achievements. I enjoy side-by-side gaming as well, so if you wanted to play your game while I played mine on a video call via discord, that's fine by me. I'd love it if you wanted to listen to a book with me while we worked on a jigsaw puzzle together, and have so many good recommendations. I have a lot of other interests, but I'll leave those for you to find out. Last but not least, as the title gives a hint to this, I have three cats, all named after sci-fi characters. I love animals of all kinds, and if anyone was looking for that 'something more' option a dealbreaker for me is not liking animals.

So, speaking of dealbreakers, lets get on to what I'm looking for from you. Please be at least 34, though I prefer men the same age or older than me. I will absolutely not respond to any messages from anyone younger unless you believe you are my soul mate and write a damn good message that I absolutely cannot ignore. If you're looking for the 'something more' option than monogamy is a must, though if we are in a strictly friendship stage then I don't care who you date. Someone who is also politically left-leaning and non religious would be ideal. For those looking at the 'something more' option: physically, I know that no one is perfect. Dad-bods are cool, but I have to admit I'm not usually attracted to people who are so out of shape it's impacted their health. If you're not sure, go ahead and send me a message anyway, but please be respectful of me if I say that I'm not attracted to you. I won't be mean or nasty about it, but I will be truthful and nothing is more unattractive than someone who takes my honesty and uses it for a guilt trip. Lastly, I tend to get along better with men who are ambitious and have a career. I have a solid career ahead of me and it would be nice if we had that in common, but it's NOT a dealbreaker.

I won't respond to low effort messages that contain a single word like "hey" or "hi."
