Well hello there! Given that you're still reading this little post after a totally bonkers opening like that, let me describe myself with more eloquence... or, at least, as much as I'm able to conjure up. Starting with the basics, I'm a single, child free, liberal, t-shirt and jeans wearing, cis white male (he/him), and I have a pretty decent job (if not particularly exciting) as a database administrator which affords me a very nice apartment and a generous amount of free time to explore my own interests. *Takes in all the breath*. I'm also close with my family, seeing them at least once a month, if not more often, and have been known to just drop in on them randomly for an afternoon. Did I mention that I love dogs? I enjoy animals in general, but dogs are the best. I did have a little pug for 16 years... the most adorable little grrr!

What I'm looking for? That partner in life who is happy spending time together, whether it's being mutual homebodies, or out on some adventure. At least, that's my goal overall. Would love to find someone local (or local-ish) to me. I can definitely be down to travel to visit if we get close, but ultimately, I will most likely not be relocating anywhere. As attraction is important, here I am!

Humor-wise, I have my moments of being able to make people laugh at an exaggerated story. I'm also fond of a good dad joke. Let me sprinkle some dark humor in there... shit! Those were my grandma’s ashes! Puns? The punnier, the better! I'm also not above raunchy humor. I wouldn't whip it out at just anyone *coughs*, but rather people I'm close with, or comfortable enough with. This is to say, while I may not be a stage comedian, I think I can be an enjoyable fellow to be around. I suspect that's how I've maintained my friends and have prevented my coworkers from running away from me in terror (locked doors help too... especially when I feel a pun coming on).

I'm a PC gamer. Story, strategy, and simulation/survival games are generally my style, though a nice co-op or lite competitive multiplayer is always nice. I'm also into Game development (on PC as a hobby), which I stream myself on Twitch a couple times a week. I've found a nice small group of regular watchers for this, which makes for a nice hangout during development. Other than video games, I enjoy tabletop gaming as well, including TTRPGs. I have a solid group of friends I get together with almost weekly for some D&D. I'm also part of a group that runs monthly board game gatherings. While I have a number of board and card games, my go tos are Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Betrayal at the House on the Hill.

I do enjoy watching movies and TV shows, like most people I think. This Probably won't come as a surprise, but SciFi and Fantasy are my genres of choice. I'm a long time Star Trek fan, with TNG and DS9 as my favorites, but I have enjoyed them all (old and the new ones too... yes, even that one). I do enjoy Star Wars as well but haven't really seen any of its more recent stuff. None of this is to say that I don't enjoy other genres though. I can easily enjoy a good horror movie (with a preference for Lovecraftian stuff), thriller, mystery, or drama.

While I'm more of a homebody, I do very much enjoy going to flea markets, because one never knows what they may find. A good amusement park still entertains me greatly! A chill day at a park strolling around or having a picnic with friends and/or family is a great time! I'm also a big fan of renaissance fairs!! I also like going to local seasonal fairs from time to time... lots of yummy fair food! Seasons wise, I'm muuuuuch more a Fall fellow then a Summer guy. A nice, haunted mansion or trail during the fall is one of the best, in my opinion.
