Apologies in advance....this may end up being really long. But I figure while I have a shred of anonymity, I can be brutally honest about myself, what I'm looking for, and hope that someone amazing stumbles across this post and is like "fuck yeah, i can vibe with that".

The sketchy stuff - my soon to be ex and I separated two years ago, and she formally moved out of my house in January of this year. the legal stuff is basically done, we're just waiting for the decree to say we are divorced. The separation was agreed upon by both parties...however our current relationship is not great. But, I am a father first (two kids), and so I don't let it ruin my relationship with them, nor their relationship with her. I carried a lot of resentment from my marriage that I had to work through in therapy, and I am finally in a headspace where i believe that I am ready to seek a new long term partner. I have some lingering trust issues that while I have worked on, I have to get to that level of commitment and intimacy again to fully move on....hopefully that makes sense.

The good stuff - I live alone in the house that I bought, and it's fantastic. I know how to unapologetically be myself again, I can do things i enjoy without judgment, I lost a lot of weight, I have confidence again, things are looking up for your boy! Seeing as I have a mortgage, one can speculate correctly that I do have a career that I make decent money doing and that I enjoy, and I have cats that my ex and I adopted that I felt way too guilty about putting up for adoption, so i have let them take over my home. I'm tall (183cm), height/weight proportionate, and I have witnesses on record who say that I am attractive (that is subjective obviously). I would say that I'm about 55/45 homebody - I work from home, my hobbies generally take place in my home (video games, creating music, building legos with the kids, cooking), but I am slowly breaking that barrier down and trying to get outside more (I go to the gym 3x a week to play basketball, I like walking on the trails by my house, I play golf, i like to fish sometimes, I am keen on traveling).

You (hopefully) - like a lot of the same things I do! I don't want to waste either person's time if we don't find each other attractive, so that's a good first step. Hopefully you're kind to not only me but the people around you, you have respect for all humans (and animals for that matter), you're driven to succeed in the goals you have set for yourself, you are open to my kids (or have your own already), you are curious about seeing the world through your own eyes like I am, and that you're authentic and genuine. The dream would be to have someone as crazy about me and puts in as much effort as I do into them, and that flame never dies. Being patience with me and my ADHD would also be really helpful, and sorry in advance for my brain being perpetually scrambled.
