Hi!

In November I quit my job.. happy to share why if you want. I worked in asset management and loved my work but since then I've just been bumming around. The winter was so wet and now the summer has been so hot - what happened to spring? Or cold winter but at least dry so you can do things? Either way.. this time off has shown me that I am not self motivating! If given the option I will just hang out in bed all day reading reddit.. fortunately I can afford this for now though early retirement needs to end soon for my own sanity. So why am I posting to reddit? This time off has shown me that my life needs more than just my dogs and work and I just find dating apps so tiring. I want to share my life with someone. So hopefully you do too.

Some other tidbits about me:

• Single (as should you be! No I am not looking for just a friend)
• Homeowner - and generally like DIY projects though I always find myself doing like 85% and then moving on.. so many patched walls with no paint on it!
• Live in Central NJ by the Shore (because I love the ocean/boardwalk)
• Have three dogs and no kids!
• Spotify is amazing - love political podcasts, punk, emo, hardcore, 90's, etc.
• Center left politics.. I recognize our debt is out of control and we need to do something about it but we also need to protect those less fortunate/families/kids/elderly.
• Do not like clutter and try to keep a clean house (which is difficult as my brother and nephew live with me and.. dogs!)
• Love going on hikes but will not go camping. I hate bugs. Hate them! And I have the most comfortable bed in the world - why would I choose not to sleep in it???
• I am big on talking on the phone. It's comforting and I have a cute voice.
• Love finance, personal investing, personal finance.. I like reading about it. I give great advice (that I do not take!)
• My favorite sport is hockey. I don't really watch it anymore but I'm a NJ Devil's fan.
• Grew up in NY, lived in Manhattan for 12 years before moving down here 8 years ago.
• Here's what I look like (https://imgur.com/a/photos-QvjwGBj) I'm chubby (but working on it!), 5'6 and a vegetarian. I'm also straight edge (no drinking, smoking, drugs). So standard 90's hardcore/punk kid that never grew up.
• I've traveled to over 20 countries around the world - my favorite city to visit was Rome (because I love ancient history). Asia was incredible but I always miss home whenever I'm away. If I could live in California I'd move in a heart beat.
• I love love love alien, disaster, zombie, etc. movies and books. I've watched ID4 so many times .. it's like a warm blanket at this point. I've seen a bunch of movies this summer of unemployment - Deadpool & Wolverine was so so so good. Twisters was awesome. Twister is literally one of my favorite movies from my teenage years.

Like I said I'm unemployed so I'll most likely respond since I'm pretty bored these days while waiting for future employers to start paying me a bunch of money to answer e-mails! I also don't sleep at night and am up for the markets so around a lot of weird times even though I'm on the east coast.
