I didn't watch a ton of the Office, but I always thought it was weird when people's dating app profiles would say "looking for the Jim to my Pam". That couple was super toxic and could barely communicate - who'd want to recreate that? Now...Gomez and Morticia? Comfortable, grounded, and after years they're still passionately in love - *that's* the goal, isn't it?

About me: 37 (38 in a few days!) single male in Southern NH. My hobbies are all over the place: I love nature walks, camping, cooking/baking (for others), reading, movies/shows, puzzles (of all types - I like having to think through things!), as well as traveling and new restaurants. I'm just as comfortable outdoors as in, and love a good blend of the two. I consider myself an extroverted introvert, and the right person really sparks that energy in me. I'm well educated and have a new career that I'm getting the hang of and generally enjoying, although it's not without it's challenges.

I've been divorced about 3 years now, have majority custody of two wonderful girls (sorry, can't have more if that's important to you), and have done my share of time in therapy. I'm a people pleaser and love making others happy, but not at the cost of my own mental health. I'm a pretty good communicator and being empathetic and understanding is one of my favorite qualities in myself, and I excel at making others feel better. That being said, I'm not looking to be the sole reason for someone's happiness. I'm looking for a relationship where we bring joy to each other, but don't rely on one another to be the only thing that brings us joy.

I'm casually seeking something serious. I'm a great guy, I bring a lot to the table, and I know you do, too! I'm in no rush to be in a serious relationship, but that *is* the ultimate goal - I just want to know that when that comes along, it's not because of timelines or pressures but because you and I are just a great fit. It's a lot to ask, and critically - it takes time to get there. To get to know someone, to date...it's not a swipe left/right and you're in love scenario.

You? Well - you're the kind of woman the above resonates with. I don't have a "type" so to speak, more that someone is funny and self-aware, and has put genuine thought into what they're looking for.

Lastly, and I can't stress this enough: please, be local. I've tried LDR's a few times and it's nothing but heartbreak and I cannot relocate, and would never ask someone to move for me. That - and cuddling via Zoom just doesn't work.
