Hello :)

I'm looking for someone who is also seeking a genuine platonic friendship that will (hopefully) last a very long time. I'm someone who likes to get to know another on a deeper level- which means you will have my undivided attention. What has been difficult for me is finding someone who is willing to reciprocate.

Just the other day, I was hanging out with 3 of my female work friends and we were having a wonderful discussion about their latest vacations and other life events. I tend to bring up thoughtful discussions and this time I asked their thoughts on AI and its implications for our line of work (academia). No one really said anything, and one ended up quickly changing the subject. That situation kind of stung because they discuss plenty of things I don't really care about but I still ask question because I care about why they like the topic. A person's interests says a lot about them!

Anyways, I bring this up to give you some background for the impetus of this post. I would love to find someone who wouldn't mind discussing a breadth of topics. I thoroughly enjoy listening to what people think.

I'm a very thoughtful and introspective individual. An introverted intellectual who loves to think about various subjects and explore plenty of hypotheticals. My internal thoughts are rather Socratic in nature, especially if I'm learning something new. If I ask you questions, and you pay attention, you may "see" what's going on in my mind! There's your free tip ;)

I'd love to hear from you and begin learning your story. I know some people are turned off by this, so to save you the time, I'll share that I'm an agnostic atheist and am centrist left-leaning.
