A few weeks ago I did a triathlon (which I won, Oh, yeah! Old man's still go it! ...but that's not the point). Everyone there was so encouraging of each other. It was such a positive atmosphere that I've been feeling great and really motivated for the last 3 weeks. It's starting to wear off, and I've been thinking about how great it would be to have that kind of positive person in my life regularly. Most people today are, well, too cool to be positive like that, but I've always been that way. I grew up doing sports, and was always encouraging my teammates and all that. Since then I've fallen in with... uhh.... normal people. You know, people who say things like, "Lets just sit on the couch and relax."
Being around active positive people again reminded me of the difference between motivation and discipline. Both are useful, but using discipline to force myself to do morning exercises isn't nearly as fun as just feeling motivated to do it because I'm in a positive atmosphere.
Sooo... I know reddit isn't the absolute best place to look for this, but you never know, so say hi if this resonates with you at all.
Here's some of my basic stats... I'm white, 6'1'', about 200lbs, athletic obviously, not much hair on my head, but I have all my teeth, and I like to do morning exercises every day because it makes me feel great for the rest of the day. :-)
