Sylvia Plath wrote, "I write only because there is a voice within me that will not be stilled." Everyone needs an outlet, even if it's just words on a screen. Maybe I'm Sylvia Plath reincarnated, because there's a desire within me that will not be silent. It remains unspoken, unshared, untranslated, a cross between a cat in the heat and a dying giraffe, or a geyser of molten lava that bursts with babbling thoughts that tell you to eat the whole pizza instead of just one slice and to binge-watch Netflix until the wee hours of the morning. So I've come here, for a chance to express that inner intensity, to become poetry unbound, to fill someone's day with the beatings of my heart, to paint my voice for someone to see.
I want to marvel at what your day was like, to get to know you as a person. To know all the parts of your personality, to know your aspirations, your fears, your values. Because when you get to know someone, it cements our consciousness, it makes the empty landscape a lush oasis, it strengthens meaning at the most instinctive level, as we experience what it means to be human through the eyes of another.
About my looks, I'm tall and slender, with dark hair and olive skin. My almond eyes are always looking off into the distance like Edvard Munch's The Scream, and my face has a gentle yet melancholic expression, as though I'm channeling my inner Edgar Allan Poe. I look forward at gazing at your reflection, at your words, at you. Because there's nothing more interesting than having someone you know inside and out, and how they know the same for you too.
