I can’t sleep (most nights if I’m being honest). But today it’s because I’m starting a new job tomorrow. Would love to hear your best career tips. How do you get ahead, make friends, or even find your niche at the office/industry? I’m 35, have an advanced theological degree, but work in finance, so I’m not very corporate at heart. I like to read (mostly classics, professional/personal development, or finance, currently) and write (in a journal). Travel and travel photography are a fairly signifiant part of my life too. But mostly I think I travel to try new foods. I’m very social and can typically carry on a conversation. But to do that, I think I need reciprocal curiosity, some shared interests/values, and a matched energy. Most of all, I am looking for consistency (not hot and cold communication) once we get a good chat or two under our belts. Sorry those who self-identify as “nerds” primarily, but I’m not one. But if you’re social and think you’re easy to talk to, feel free to reach out. Just so you’re not surprised, I’m 5’5, Asian-American, average weight.
