I like the idea of dating apps but I feel like friendship isn’t emphasized enough, and that’s what I’m looking for; a solid friendship that could turn into more. That doesn’t mean it needs to lead into something serious, but as long as we’re both open to it, and both wanting that.

A little bit about me: I’ll start with the bigger things first, I’m a father to a 2 year old, and I’m also a widow, which is a lot and not for everyone, and that’s totally okay. I don’t really know what I’m doing or what dating looks like, but I think that’s a good thing. It can look like whatever I, and whoever I am with want it to. That being said I think I’m pretty down to earth and don’t have any wild or massive expectations, that being said communication is key so it’s always a conversation that can be had. I’m a bit of a nerd, but now a days who isn’t? I like a lot of pop culture things like Star Wars, Pokemon, LotR. I play D&D a couple times a month with a good group of people. Gunpla is a low key passion of mine, iykyk.I also have a Disney pass, I think I’ve gone 2 times this year so far.

I love photography and videography, I have a couple of film cameras and even develop, scan and print my own photos. I also enjoy going on easy hikes, especially since I’ll usually have a camera or two with me and it can get pretty heavy. That being said I could talk your ear off about cameras.I also just recently started going indoor rock climbing again, so I’m always looking for a belay partner, or at least someone to go bouldering with would be cool.

There are also a lot of cliche things I like that everyone mentions, like traveling and food, but idk maybe I’m cliche, because traveling and food are awesome. I work freelance and contract work, so even though I’m based in Riverside, work takes me everywhere locally, and I’ll get sent out of state occasionally, so I don’t mind connecting with anyone who is more than a short commute away. Plus that’s the cool thing about the internet right, we can connect with all sorts of cool people from all over. Though, that being said intentionality to meet is important.
