Hi there. I'm a 33-year-old woman living in the Southeastern US, trying to survive a multi-year home and property renovation while the world burns. It's so hard to find a good therapist right now (has been since forever, I guess), so I'm self medicating with weed and gardening. Everyone says I have a green thumb, but I think it's just the law of averages in that most of my plants survive.
One question I always enjoy asking is, "What's your favorite kind of tree?" When I used to interview people at my old job, I'd always ask because it is quite literally the perfect interview question. There's no right or wrong answer, you can be from any walk of life or educational background and still have a favorite tree, and it gives someone the opportunity to share a fun anecdote (usually from their childhood) from their lives to break the ice.
I have a few favorites: live river oak, magnolia, and Japanese maple.
For the past month, I've been deeply focused on my major backyard renovation, including the construction of a beautiful little greenhouse from Costco. Peep my profile for pics. I'm so close to being done!
Outside of gardening and DIY projects, I also really enjoy watching hockey, cooking, quilting/sewing, and watching TV. I watch a lot of TV, but I've hardly seen any movies. I recently watched Goodfellas for the first (second, and third) time, and I loved it!
I'm not sure what or who I'm looking for exactly, so apologies in advance if I'm flakey. But I am 100% sure you've never met someone like me-e-e before.
