"A good science fiction story should be able to predict not the automobile but the traffic jam." - Frederik Pohl
The lights didn't so much as flicker before every appliance shut down, suddenly and with ominous finality... Again.
For about two weeks my street has dealt with the local power company's incompetence. I've been trying to retain whatever sanity I had by keeping myself distracted whilst batteries last. Fancy a quick chat?
About me: out of shape, tropical goth, lapsed geek, off and on bookworm ; into cozy gaming and fantasy novels about found family, also snail mail, knitting whilst watching horror movies, trying new vegan recipes.
I belong to two black cats. I'm bi, neurodivergent, got chronic health stuff I'm still figuring out, an extroverted introvert. A bit too into hot sauce (my favourite perfume is actually chili and lychee scented - spicy and sweet is very me) and I spend more time looking at travel guides than actually ever taking trips. Love rain, love the beach, love living in a metropolis.
