It's a Thursday in mid-March. I'm sitting here, typing and hopeful.

I'm ready to find you. The you who is delightfully silly and understanding and patient and supportive. And masculine.

You be a sword, and I'll be seaweed. You go out and work, and I'll keep our home warm. You tell me you're stressed, and I'll make your favorite and give you a massage.

There's a part of me that feels imposter syndrome when I write that. Like, I want that, but I don't know how competent my home-making skills are. I've been taking baking classes and I've cleared a bunch of clutter from my apartment. I have been taking steps.

So, that's part of what I'm looking for: reassurance and someone to see/acknowledge the strengths and growth I sometimes miss seeing in myself. Could you guess I'm a words of affirmation girl?

Some things about me

I enjoy movement, and for awhile, I've been wanting to create a dance video with eggs being thrown at me and intricately navigating eggshells with my feet. I'm not sure exactly how that will happen, though it's something I want to express and put forth into the world.

I don't feel confident driving, though I would love for you to teach me. I have my license, but parking just feels really hard spatially, so I've avoided it and just relied on public transportation and walking.

Speaking of walking, I enjoy taking long walks. I want to hike this spring/summer, and the smell of firewood along with s'mores is tops.

My all-time favorite word is grotesque. So (ironically) beautiful.

An anecdote

I bought a ticket to see Olivia Rodrigo next week. I'm going solo because no one I know wanted to go. I'm proud of myself that I bought a ticket and felt confident enough to go by myself.

There's something to be said about doing things solo, though...I crave nurturing and being taken care of. I'd love for someone to pick me up after the concert or arrange for my Lyft/Uber.
