As the title says I am lonely and sick of it. I am turning 31 on Tuesday and other than my sister I have absolutely no one to celebrate it with and it’s really bumming me out. I spend my days and nights alone in my room online and the loneliness is getting worse the older I get. I am on the autism spectrum so it is very hard for me to go out and socialize (don’t like large crowds, too much noise or being around too many strangers). So I am turning to online. I would like(?) to find a relationship(?) but I realize that is increasingly unlikely for me so I’d settle for a friend or someone to talk to consistently to help me feel less lonely. I’ve been mostly disappointed in my attempts at online dating because I don’t think I translate well to that realm because I’m not super good looking or bubbly. So maybe here is a better bet:

Some quick things about me: I love animals (almost more than people at this point), I’m a nerd who likes technology and gadgets. I’m a gamer with a giant backlog of games to play, I love stand up comedy and would probably attempt it if not for my social anxiety, and I try to stay actively engaged with what’s going on in the world.

I am not super picky in terms of looks and personality as long as you are at heart a kind and empathetic person. Obviously looks matter a bit but I think almost all women are cute in their own way. The one thing I will say is that if you’re a fan of far right politics we will probably not get along, I believe in equality and basic human decency/respect as a fundamental right of all peoples, if you’re an anti-vaxxer don’t even bother because the “vaccines cause autism” bullshit pisses me off to no end as a person on the spectrum. I got the Covid shot three times so if you’re “one of those” I just saved you the trouble.
