How specific are we to make these posts? I have read a few posts here and there and have found it hard to imagine what the other person is like, what they do or do not like let alone what they look like. So I’d like to be super clear and expose myself fully. Sort of.

I’m Sam, 37, employed and also studying to be an English teacher. I have one child (5), have had one divorce (-1 child, iykyk), own a house, a car, two cats and more crafting supplies than I know what to do with. Main obsession has been knitting for the past years but I like to dabble in crochet, resin casting, sewing, machine knitting, general DIY and whatever tickles my fancy at that moment.

I am currently re-watching Stargate Atlantis (McKay is my spirit animal) after a looooong Star trek marathon. My kid loves to join in on the fun and it seems to have sparked interest in evolution and space for her so.. I’m not very big on adhering to age ratings.. Getting back on track, I enjoy sci-fi, gaming (favs being Horizon, Far Cry, Skyrim) and taking things easy. Wanna go out? Sure, if it’s not too cold. Staying in? Also good. I’m not much of a reader even if I have to for school. I do love Christopher Moore books though. Music wise I’m all over the place but will describe my main genre as punk/hardcore/rock. What else can I say about me? I’m 178cm (or 5 10 if you wish), dark blonde dreads, hazel eyes and I keep up with my diet. Also vegetarian, nonsmoker and pretty much don’t drink. I’m cool with others drinking but smoking is ew. I wear red plaid and black and white stripes often and just generally like a more quirky style. High heels suck, sneakers all the way for me. And lastly I’m a blend of mainly English (UK) and Dutch heritage.

After many years on this earth I have curated a somewhat specific list of what I know doesn’t work for me. I’m sure there are people who do or have some of the horrific things listed below and are wonderful people, I just can’t, sorry not sorry. In no particular order;

- Men with ponytails (excluding the man bun.. that gets a pass somehow)

- Astrology or crystals

- Hanging the toilet roll wrong

- Not knowing how to load a dishwasher

- Being a hypochondriac

- Being REALLY in to sports

- Misusing the word nerd/geek

- General weaponized incompetence

- Tribal tattoos

- Having excuses for your family but not for mine

- Scrapbooking

- Certain types of shoes

- Bad English accents

Maybe you have caught on and figured that some are related to past relationships. Yep, you’re right. What am I looking for? An equal would be a good start. I’d prefer to only have to mother the children I have birthed. Other things that work for me;

- The lumberjack aesthetic

- Beards

- A certain amount of grooming standards

- Stability all across the board

- Humor

- Being able to take a joke or be teased as that is my preferred way of showing affection

- Sarcasm
