Hi all,

I live and work in the bay area but given how difficult it feels to find someone compatible, I'm open to meeting people from different locations. I'm asian american, 5'2 and 120ish pounds, and pretty health conscious/active: tennis, indoor rock climbing, yoga, hiking with my dog. Some important things about me:

- I don't want kids (you can see my similar dating post in the childfree forum)
- I have a 3 year old shiba inu doge who I accidentally adopted and am madly in love with
- I try to avoid dairy and most types of meat (aka I mostly eat asian food) and don't care what you eat
- I don't smoke nor do drugs and I rarely drink nowadays. I cannot tolerate the smell of cigarette smoke
- I am not really into traveling for the sake of traveling, but I would love to spend some time in Europe with my dog some time in the not too distant future
- I am now a software engineer after a career transition and I love my job and tend to get along with SWE types (although open to everyone, just an observation)
- I'm the social type of introvert: I need a fair amount of alone time to recharge and digest thoughts, but I really enjoy hanging out with the right people (usually 1:1 or small groups, occasionally a bigger party or gathering)
- I'm very logical and default to trying to think through everything, but I also have a spiritual side where I give a lot of importance to gut feelings and emotions when I feel like the situation calls for it, and also believe you can't logic your way through many things in life
- I'm pretty honest and direct in my communication, but not mean about it

Some things I'm looking for:
- Someone on the same intellectual wavelength (logical, enjoys problem solving)
- Patience and generally stable emotions
- Physical affection as at least one love language
- Light-heartedness/sense of humor/ability to have fun together
