Good evening (or morning, depending on where you are)! My name is Tom and while I never dreamed I'd be here....here I am! I recently turned 36 last month, I'm coming off a traumatic car accident a year ago where to be honest, I should have died. I've spent the last year working on me, physically, mentally, and while I'm not TOTALLY there yet, I'm pretty damn close and excited for what the future holds. Only one problem and it's becoming increasingly clear. I'm missing you!
I'm a hopeless romantic. I can't help it, I just love love and I love the idea of falling in love. I dream of coming home to my best friend. Sharing our lives. Having a family (PLEASE love kids and want them. Being a father is my absolute biggest goal in life). Knowing each other inside and out and growing old together. It hasn't worked for me up until now, and I've realized a lot of that was due to me. That wasn't an easy realization to come to, but it's helped immensely in fixing my issues and being able to move on!
A little about me- I live in Ohio (yes, I know lol).
Physically I'm 6'2", around 260 pounds but actively working on that (down 60 pounds from my heaviest and 30 in the past year!).
I work a factory job, but I love what I do. It pays the bills and allows me to live comfortably, but definitely not lavishly.
I'm a simple kind of guy, into the normal "guy" kinds of things. Sports, music, movies, the occasional video game.
I'm more of a homebody but I do love a fun night out when the situation calls for it.
I like random road trips especially with no set destination in mind, walks and lately just being outside period.
I'm trying to get to the gym more often, but that's never easy to do.
I enjoy my me time, so that's something to consider. No matter how much I love someone, it's doubtful I'd ever want to spend every minute of every day with them. The plus to that is you can have your own fun, friends, and hobbies and I'll never feel jealous or upset that you're not spending that time with me!
Some would say I'm funny. Others would say I'm absolutely not. If you like dad jokes, puns, and guys who just don't take themselves too serious, you'll likely be in the first category.
I know my way around the kitchen! In fact I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for my family this year, and I'm constantly interested in trying new recipes.
You- I'd prefer you lived in Ohio or at least close. I'm in the corner of the state close to Michigan and Indiana, so Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan are 100% in play as well! But really, I'm open to long distance for a bit, as long as one of both of us eventually plans on relocating to be together.
I don't have a type, we can share pictures early on so we know there is a mutual attraction but I'm way more interested in and attracted to the person than the looks.
I'd like someone who at least shares some of my interests, or at the least won't roll their eyes when I want to spend all day Saturday on the couch watching football instead of going to your cousin's wedding. I promise I'll suck it up and go!
I've seemed to click better with younger women in the past, but age is just a number in the end. If I was forced to put an age range on this, I'd say 25-40? But if you're in your lower 40s or younger than 25 and think we'd be a good fit, certainly feel free to message me!
As said earlier, I'd REALLY like to have kids and a family to come home to. How that happens or looks is open for discussion or up in the air. Maybe you have kids and I'd be a step parent/father figure. Maybe you want kids. Maybe you're open to adoption. Really, while I'd prefer a couple of my own, as long as I get to help raise the next generation I'll be happy.
That's really it! I'm easy to get along with, I don't have this picture perfect version of my perfect mate in mind. Just be nice, have goals, and want to form a friendship and believe in love and we'll get along amazingly well! I'm not in a HUGE hurry. I'm still working on myself a bit more and these things take time to develop naturally. I'd like to think I have a family before I'm 40, which gives me 4 years.
