I’ve been trying to connect with people who can chat about a variety of topics and also can eventually connect to try and help one another achieve life goals. I find most people who I try to chat with throughout Reddit in general are not near as stimulating when they try to chat or they often stop chatting altogether because they don’t have much to say outside of their own personal lives. I often do inquire about the lives of others and what they have going on, but it feels like that’s never enough to keep a conversation alive. I never want to push conversations either because I get where people can be harassed online by those who are pushy, especially for women, and I never want to put people in a position where they feel they have to engage if they don’t want to. So I want people who are interested to engage and not feel they have to engage just for the sake of it all.

Things about me to see if people would be interested in talking: I’m a tradesman from the east coast of the US, married with no children as of right now, one cat, and a homeowner who has put a lot of time into fixing said home. In my spare time, I often like games, reading about history, and listening to a variety of music and lectures on various subjects, from mythology, ancient history, and creative writing. My hope is to one day publish a book on various story ideas that have been in my head for some while, but I also want to make sure I’m doing it right. Because of that last line, I’ll admit that I’m a perfectionist and can be self critical about my mistakes, but I’m working past that. I’m honest to a fault, loyal to those who I hold dear in my life, and do my best to always help others who need it when it’s in my power to do so.
