Children do what's fun, and aim for instant gratification. Adults do what needs to be done, and take satisfaction from knowing they've done a good thing for the future. Numerical age doesn't seem to have much bearing on it.
Hi. I'm Jaimie. If you want to see me just click on my profile. There's some stuff in there. I'm a doer. I like to do things. I don't work well with couch potatoes. Maybe that makes this a counter-intuitive place to look for a partner, but I'm doing it anyway.
Someone recently posted something about how similar values are more important than similar hobbies. Makes tons of sense to me, so... I do my best to live by 8 virtues:
Honesty, doing my best to see the truth in things, not what I hope, not what I'm told, but to cut through all bias and see what it really going on.
Honor, telling the truth, and that includes following through with any promises I make.
Strength, taking care of my body because without it I have no life!
And of course, it's my responsibility to be eye candy for my partner. ;-) So feel free to give my crap if I start getting fat!
Courage, facing my fears and doing the things that I know are best regardless of how scary or difficult or uncomfortable they may be.
Love, keep love in my heart so I can make decisions that are constructive, not destructive.
Imagination, keeping an open mind, and looking into that deep hole of the unknown to find solutions to problems, and find great ideas that occasionally blow up in my face, but that's how we learn.
Life, choose my own life path, and live my life as well as I can because as far as I know I only get one chance at each day.
Humility, no matter how far I come I'll always have a long way to go. A person who thinks they're perfect leaves themselves no space to grow.
Well, that's me in a nutshell. ...or a nut case. One or the other. If you actually read this far say hi! No pressure. Although we could one day be naming our children together. ha! OK OK, seriously. No pressure.
