I want to start by stating I'm not looking for a serious relationship. I just got broken up with earlier this week and while I'm doing fine (ish) I know I'm not over the hill yet. I need time to heal still before I'm ready for any sort of commitment.
I'm just looking for someone to talk to to help get me through the worst of this weekend. And potentially longer, I'm not going to shoot anything down if I find someone I click with. Unfortunately this isn't my first rodeo here and I know any connections that happen here can be rather fleeting. Again stressing platonic only and nothing serious. Well, getting a good friend out of this would be awesome. Not looking for a commitment though.
I'll gladly let you rant to me as well. I know everyone needs it on occasion and I'm often told I'm a great listener.
I don't really care where you're from. I'd appreciate closer to my time zone as that'd help me more while I'm awake, but wherever is fine. Closer to my age would be nice too, but not a deal breaker either. I'd honestly rather not swap photos unless we end up really hitting it off as friends.
More about me:
Has 3 dogs (1 large mix and 2 German Shepherds). I will likely always have a GSD until I'm too old to be able to handle them anymore.
I basically am a spreadsheet jockey at work. It doesn't really challenge me, but it pays the bills (if only just) and has a good bit of flexibility for emergencies and appointments and such.
I'm trying to pick back up some of my hobbies while I work on me. I have a few different fantasy football leagues I take part in (no big money on the line, most of them are free leagues). I can be crafty at times and know how to make soap and candles (and have contemplated starting a side business of it). I have a 3D printer as well, but I haven't used it in a while and need to get a new printing bed for it at this point. Aside from that I'm going to look to start reading again. I regularly listen to the Harry Potter audiobooks, but I don't have any particular genre I like most. Fantasy and Sci Fi usually piques my interests the most, but I have all the Bones books (that the TV show is based off of) and want to start going through those.
I'm not a huge TV/movie fanatic. The TV is mostly background noise for me. Not that I don't enjoy a good movie, just not one to aimlessly scroll through Hulu or Netflix to try and find something to watch. I do enjoy some shows like Bones, Criminal Minds, Furutama though and will at least try any suggestions if thrown my way.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading. And I wish everyone luck in finding what they want out of life!
